The private onsen experience was delightful, but the
room furnishings felt a bit outdated. The automated check-in process was straightforward and the access to the public baths was a wonderful feature. Overall, Kadoya offered a cozy traditional setting in a fantastic location for exploring Shibu Onsen.

The access to the public baths was a wonderful feature.
The self-check-in process left a lot to be desired. It was quite confusing and impersonal, lacking any direct assistance from staff. The room felt smaller than expected, and the cleanliness wasn't up to par, with some areas needing better maintenance.

Family with children cozy getaway
The room was lovely and had a traditional feel. There were cozy slippers and yukatas to wear around.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but avg price for this experience so I guess it’s okay.

The underground passage to the village was quirky and the chance to reserve a private bath for our group made the experience feel intimate and special.

The location is excellent for visiting the nearby monkey park, with a convenient bus stop right in front of the hotel. Private indoor onsens provided a unique experience, and the access to all nine public onsens via an underground passage added an interesting element to the stay. However, reliance on a nearby hotel for breakfast options and a somewhat impersonal self-check-in process were drawbacks that could detract from the overall experience.

The triple room was cozy and had a lovely tatami mat vibe. I really appreciated having a fridge and kettle. Plus, the yukata robes and wooden sandals were a fun touch! It felt homey, though you could see some wear and tear since it's an old building. The automated check-in was super easy, but I did miss the personal touch of interacting with staff.

Just an optimal selection for a fleeting pause in Yamanouchi with outstanding value for money. The onsite private baths were a nice touch after a long day. Make sure to check the parking arrangements before you arrive, especially if you plan on going out in the evening.
